Blues:
I apologize for missing school today. It couldn’t be helped.
Here is your assignment. *In the case that you do not have a substitute, we
will work on this on Monday.
In order to try and gain some perspective on the time period
in which To Kill a Mockingbird takes
place, you are to look up information regarding specific topics that I am assigning
you.
In our shared Dropbox subfolder titled, “TKAM Intro
Resources,” (go to “FA ELA Class Files – Blue Class,” and then “To Kill a
Mockingbird”) you will find PDFs titled “TKAM Intro Research Organizers.” These
are graphic organizers with questions on varying topics that you will use to
keep track of the information that you find. Some of you will be finding
information on the Civil Rights movement, some of you will be looking up
controversial books, some the Great Depression, and some the history of Jim
Crow laws. All of you will be using a custom Google search to find this
information: TKAM
Introductory Research Custom Search.

Open up the graphic organizer that pertains to your assigned
topic, search for answers to your questions using the TKAM
Introductory Research Custom Search, and double-check the rubric (also in
the TKAM Intro Resources subfolder) to be sure that you’re doing a satisfactory
job.
Word hard: luck means nothing.
We’ll talk Tuesday. Have a safe weekend.
