Your homework for tonight is to read p. 26-38. While you
read, keep track of what you think each vignette is about on the figurative level, like we discussed in
class today. Afterwards, write a paragraph answering the following question: “What
big picture is forming?” In other words, what sense are you getting of Mango Street and of
Esperanza? (Think about that Mona Lisa mosaic…)
