HW for Thanksgiving Break

Blues:

Complete a first draft of the essay regarding Atticus' use of rhetorical appeals in his closing argument. The draft is due by Saturday at 5 PM.

Things to remember:
- Focus your efforts on completing the body paragraphs--discussion Atticus' use of ethos, pathos, logos.
- Be sure to maintain the "MEAL" structure within those paragraphs: every body paragraph should have a main idea, evidence to support your idea, analysis of said idea, and a link back to the question ("how does Atticus use rhetorical appeals in his closing argument").
- Explain how Atticus is using the rhetorical appeals. Don't just say that he is "using Pathos," explain what emotions he is trying to get the jury to feel, discuss why he is trying to get them to feel that emotion, and link his actions to that emotion.
