A Fresh Start

Blues:

Your homework tonight is to answer questions on the last page of the PDF titled "TKAM Reading Film Questions." To open the file, go to our "To Kill a Mockingbird" shared folder and then select our "TKAM Film Studies" shared folder; it's the third file down.

The questions refer to a very specific clip from the film, To Kill a Mockingbird. To view the clip, go to the "TKAM Film Studies" shared folder, a sub-folder in our "To Kill a Mockingbird" shared folder. You will be able to scan and view the film at will. The "Jailhouse Scene" begins at the 1 hour mark and ends at the 1 hour, 7 minute mark.Watch the scene and answer the questions. Be sure to try and "read" the film--the same way we read the opening credits.

After answering the questions associated with the Jailhouse Scene, you are to read, annotate, and answer questions on song lyrics by Nina Simone and Bob Dylan. These lyrics can be found in the next-to-last file in our "To Kill a Mockingbird" shared folder. It is titled, "TKAM Intro Song...Questions."

Remember that these assignments, along with the activator we used to start class, are your first grades for second quarter.

Work hard: luck means nothing.
